The purpose of the Veterans Outreach Program is to inform veterans of the educational programs and benefits available to them. In addition to a variety of Associate’s Degrees and Career Certification programs, PIT offers career guidance, job placement, scholarships specifically designed for veterans returning from active duty, and information about other available sources of education funding.
GI Bill Benefits
The first step for eligible veterans is to apply for GI Bill education benefits. Apply for GI Bill Education Benefits at
. Once you receive your confirmation of GI Bill benefits, a Financial Aid Representative will help you to coordinate your tuition funding.
Choose a Program of Study
PIT is a VA approved educational institution. Make an appointment to meet with the Admissions Veterans Affairs Liaison to choose the program of study that’s right for you. Once you’ve selected a program and enrolled, you’re ready to complete your application for financial aid grants and scholarships.

The next step is to apply for Federal (Pell) and State (PHEAA) education grants at

. You’ll meet with a Financial Aid Representative to complete your tuition funding package. Based on your FAFSA eligibility, you may qualify for PIT’s Veterans Scholarship.
