Nilmary Perez graduated from P.I.T’s Clinical Medical Assistant program in August 2015. She calls her time here amazing due to the love & support of the faculty & staff. That encouragement merged with her own drive to succeed as the major reason she graduated with an impressive 4.0 GPA & landed a full-time job. During Nilmary’s last semester, she completed a 180-hour extern course at Society Hill Dermatology. Under the supervision of Dr. Susan C. Taylor, she gained extensive knowledge & hands-on experience. Her hard work & dedication paid off when she was offered a position with the company. “Working at a renowned dermatology office has been a challenging experience but also unique & exciting. I love being able to work & learn every day. I absolutely love the environment & my co-workers,” Nilmary said. Nilmary is currently enrolled in the Associate in Allied Health degree program & expects to graduate in May 2016. She plans to continue her education in the Nursing/Business Health Management field. Born & raised in Puerto Rico, Nilmary admits that attending college in the states is a different experience, but it has opened many doors & opportunities to a bright, exciting future.
