Steps for referring a friend:
- Tell your friend how wonderful we are and have them visit our website to fill out an application! https://www.pit.edu/apply/
- In the application, your friend will have to put your name and e-mail address!
- After your friend starts classes and the drop/add period is over, you will automatically be sent a $50 Amazon e-gift card to the e-mail address your friend put on their application!

WHO CAN ENTER: The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (P.I.T) Student Referral Program is open to all current students and alumni of P.I.T. who are in good academic and financial standing with the college. Any person or entity engaged in P.I.T. student recruitment or admissions activity is not permitted to participate in the program. This includes all employees of P.I.T..
HOW TO ENTER: The current P.I.T. student or alumni (Referrer) must advise their friend (referral) to submit a college application on P.I.T.’s website and enter the name and e-mail address of the student or alumni who referred them.
TOKEN GIFT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: $50 Amazon Gift Card. The Referrer will be eligible to receive this gift once the Referral’s enrollment is verified during the second week of his or her first term (the week after drop/add). The referral must fill out a college application and put the referrer’s name and e-mail address on the application BEFORE the start of classes to be eligible for this program.
Referrals will be processed and gifts will be sent within three weeks after drop/add. Students are not eligible to receive more than one gift of appreciation in a calendar year.
GENERAL: P.I.T. shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind that result from acceptance and/or use of any prize. Decisions of P.I.T. are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure, and fulfillment in respect to the Student Referral program. P.I.T. reserves the right at any time to withdraw the referral programs or to modify, amend, or supplement these rules, in its sole discretion. By participating in the referral programs, the selected entrant consents to the use by P.I.T. of their name, city and state of residence, occupation, and affiliation with P.I.T. for any lawful purpose, without further permission or compensation, except where prohibited by law. Selected entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Terms and Conditions, and understand that the decisions of P.I.T. are final and non-negotiable.
