Armstrong Foundation Scholarship

The Armstrong Foundation is committed to fostering opportunity and growth in the communities it serves. The foundation’s spirit is rooted in empowering individuals to move beyond barriers and create meaningful futures.

Through the Armstrong Foundation Scholarship, the foundation seeks to uplift students who are working hard, often against challenging circumstances, to pursue higher education. The intention is to support academic progress and encourage further achievement.

The Armstrong Foundation is honored to sponsor this scholarship and looks forward to P.I.T. selecting students who exhibit grit, ambition, and a commitment to personal and community advancement. The scholarship is intended to help lighten the financial load of pursuing a degree and to inspire recipients to continue striving toward their goals.

Eligibility for Consideration

Students may participate in any of the College’s Academic Programs and must be:

  • Enrolled full time
  • A U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or U.S. permanent resident, as per federal guidelines.
  • A permanent resident living in the Southeastern PA Region
  • In good academic standing with cumulative and current (most recent term) grade point averages (GPA) at 2.5 or better.
  • A student with demonstrated financial need

If selected as a final recipient:

  • A student will receive either the Justamere Foundation Scholarship or the Armstrong Foundation Scholarship.
  • Scholarship amounts vary based on the financial circumstances of each recipient, with most awards averaging between $1,500 and $2,000.

Interested students must:

  • Submit a letter of recommendation from an instructor or community leader
  • Submit a personal essay detailing applicant’s need/reason for request
  • Apply no later than 30 days before the beginning of a term.

No stipends are allowed.
