PURPOSES:

The National Adult Education Honor Society shall exist to:

~Recognize and honor deserving adult education students who have demonstrated dependable attendance, cooperation and work ethic, and
~Assist NAEHS members as they pursue employment opportunities, and
~Assist NAEHS members as they pursue educational goals, and
~Create adult education program advocates, and
~Create awareness of the continuing need for educational opportunities for under-educated adults, and
~Promote the growth and ideals of the National Adult Education Honor Society.

Eligibility:
Student nominees shall have met the following standards as determined by the local adult education provider: dependable attendance, dependable cooperation, dependable work ethic. NAEHS does not consider test scores, academic excellence or academic elitism valid criteria for adult learners who have other significant responsibilities, including but not limited to family, occupation and/or community obligations.
Nominated by all faculty full time and clinical adjuncts.
